— Nurideen Lindsey, who started nine games at St. John's this season, announced Friday he plans to transfer to Arkansas.

Lindsey, a point guard from Philadelphia, averaged a team-high 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the Red Storm prior to his decision to transfer.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound sophomore is expected to enroll at Arkansas for the spring semester, which would make him eligible to compete for the Razorbacks after the 2012 fall semester. He had previously spent one season at Redlands Community College in Oklahoma.

The Razorbacks will have at least five scholarships available for newcomers next season. Three high school seniors signed letters of intent to play at Arkansas in November.
