The Alabama rig, right, is smaller than the umbrella rig, left, that is used for trolling. The Alabama rig can be cast as well as trolled.
If one fishing lure gets the attention of Mr. Big Fish, wouldn’t five be better?
The original Alabama Rig is sold by Mann’s Bait Company. Other tackle manufacturers have developed their own versions.
