FAYETTEVILLE UNDERGROUND GETS CLOSER TO FINALIZING LEASE

Nothing’s official, but people involved in plans for the former Fayetteville Underground artist consortium are confident a move to the old post office building in the downtown square is within reach.

What Is The Underground?

Before closing its doors in December, the Fayetteville Underground was a nonprofit community arts organization featuring four galleries and more than one dozen artist studios in the basement of the East Square Plaza building on the east side of the downtown square. In addition to regular openings and art shows, the organization helped launch Fayetteville’s First Thursday art walk event through monthly receptions held on the first Thursday of each month.
