PEDALING PERSISTENCE
CYCLIST LOGS 10,000 MILES IN 2011
Posted: January 8, 2012 at 5 a.m.
Philip Zweig made a New Year’s resolution at the end of 2010 to ride his bicycle every day in 2011, and he completed that resolution Dec. 31, having logged more than 10,000 miles.
While taking a walk through the cold winter air, Philip Zweig recalled a thought that occurred to him several weeks before. He had a notion on that New Year’s Day to ride his bike every single day in 2011.
“There is a biorhythm that says, ‘Why am I doing this?’ Deep down inside, I know I don’t want to stop, I’m just having a moment of doubt right now.”
