President breaks ground of museum

President Barack Obama broke ground Wednesday for the Smithsonian Institution’s only museum dedicated to the history of black Americans, saying it will be “a monument for all time.” “This day has been a long time coming,” Obama said at a ceremony on the National Mall. The museum will serve “not just as a record of tragedy but as a celebration of life,” he said.
