Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident Identified

MOTORCYCLE FATALITY An Arkansas State Police officer marks the scene of a fatal accident Thursday at Sonora Road and U.S. 412 in Sonora where a motorcycle and truck collided at 5:39 p.m. Nob Hill volunteer firefighters, Arkansas State Police, and Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the accident. The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. Names of those involved in the accident were not released pending notification of next of kin.

The victim of a fatal accident Thursday has been identified by the Arkansas State Police as Sonora resident Mark C. McClure.

McClure, 40, died after his motorcycle hit a pickup truck, driven by Bob Campbell, 75, of 15425 Indian Head Trail in Rogers, trying to cross U.S. 412. The accident, at the intersection of U.S. 412 and Sonora Road, happened at 5:40 p.m.

McClure was dead at the scene. Campbell was not injured.
