Council To Discuss Replacing Dam

A leaking dam at Lake Bella Vista is slated for replacement now that federal and state grant money has come through.

MEETING INFORMATION

Bentonville City Council

The council will discuss the following at today’s meeting:

• A budget adjustment for $2,500 so the Bentonville Fire Department can spend grant money from the Arkansas Department of Forestry.

• An addition to the Bentonville Police Department’s Police and Procedures manual that would allow the police chief to award badges to officers and officers’ families in the event of death, retirement or if the badge is no longer serviceable.

• An agreement with Holophane Ornamental Lighting to provide street lights to the city through the rest of the year at a cost of $698,673.

• An agreement with DLT Solutions for a three-year subscription for AutoCAD in the amount of $25,896.

• A budget adjustment of $58,973 to complete a renovation at the old armory building on Southwest A Street for use by the Bentonville Police Department’s Bomb Squad.

• Appointment of Amy Davis to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and Bryan Rose to the Bentonville Advertising and Promotion Commission.

• Rezoning a plot at Southwest Elm Tree Road and Southwest Second Street from agricultural to single-family residential for the construction of a subdivision.
