Holy Cow. How thin and one sided is this article. You would think nobody showed up and spoke against it.
In fact the few people that came in with statistics and real numbers were those against.
I believe there was a sociologist that said buses cure the problems of under-fed kids.
NOBODY that I recall said we should leave the truly handicapped without tranportation. But, as it is structured now, the entire bus system will loose between $20 to $30 per passanger (the statistical average)
You can read above who voted against putting this on the ballot in November. They don't want to put it before the most voters as we possibly can. How much more unpatriotic can you get.
Last final point of a personal nature: When a couple people spoke up against the animal chip law due to religious reasons (I've studied their bible and can confirm it is discussed) J.P. Ann Harbison rolled her eyes when these two fundamentalist christians gave their reasons against it. What kind of jerk is she. She should step down. Aren't they supposed to represent ALL the people in the county (rather than judge them for their beliefs)?

Is your $30 per passenger subsidy made up or do you have some documentation and figures?

>>How much more unpatriotic can you get.<<
.
Yes, we have lots of unpatriotic people in Arkansas who fail to get out and vote in special and general elections. In fact a significant number won't even register to vote.
.
As far as being lopsided I think Lundstrum was given ample newspaper coverage to express your view.
.
You could have extended the meeting for two days if everyone with numbers and stats were given equal opportunity to present. Take stats and numbers to the committee meetings. Ask to submit for the record.
