Harris To Comply But Will Fight State Rules

Rep. Justin Harris, R-West Fork, said he told state officials Wednesday he will comply with proposed new rules instructing schools not to use taxpayer money to teach religion, but will fight some of the rules.

How long will it take for Rep. Harris to understand that it's not religious instruction or religious freedom that is at issue...it's his taking taxpayer money to run a Christian preschool?

Let's please just recoup the funding from the preschool, and blacklist it from any further funding. Then he can do what he likes at the Christian preschool. It really is that simple.

Not only do we as a society have to make up tax revenue of all sorts because churches are exempt from taxes, but we are apparently also expected to pay additional government subsidies so the children of people who attend those tax-free churches will have a nice Jesusy preschool to send their little ones to. Why don't their churches run preschools? They already get a free ride from the rest of us for buildings that are just standing there during the school day. They should use them, and get our money's worth out of them.

What part of "no establishment" does he fail to understand?
