— Grizzle, former Razorback lineman, dies in Fort Smith

Jim Grizzle, who played defensive end for the Arkansas Razorbacks and lettered in 1961-1963, died Sunday in Fort Smith after being hospitalized Friday. He was 71.

Grizzle had owned a tire business in Fort Smith for the last 50 years and he continued to be an avid Arkansas supporter with a skybox at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

“Jim was a good player, and he was well-liked and a fun person to be around,” said Harold Horton, an Arkansas teammate of Grizzle’s. “Jim always had a story, and he was always entertaining. He liked to be around people, and he loved the Razorbacks.”
