Junior college QB walking on at Arkansas

Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College quarterback A.J. Derby has agreed to walk on at Arkansas and compete for the starting job in the spring.
Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College quarterback A.J. Derby has agreed to walk on at Arkansas and compete for the starting job in the spring. Derby, 6-5, 235 pounds, 4.7 seconds in the 40-yard dash, was a highly recruited prospect coming out of Iowa City and signed with the Hawkeyes in 2010. He redshirted his freshman year before moving to linebacker in 2011. He transferred to Coffeyville in January and completed 149 of 321 passes for 1,936 yards and 22 touchdowns and threw 14 interceptions this past season.
