-Mary Baggett: “I am anxious for us to get the activity center started. I want to support revitalization of North Walton and adding more sidewalks there.”

-Chris Sooter: “I plan to continue to be an advocate for trees and landscaping throughout our city and to continue to support the construction of new streets and enhancements to our downtown area.”

-Roger Thomas: “How can I help make sure that the transition from ‘dry’ to ‘wet’ is handled intelligently, strategically and fairly for all involved — new businesses and the citizens in the city of Bentonville?”

-Leah Williams: “Bentonville is a beautiful city, and to preserve that I, as alderwoman, will strive to serve with integrity and help cultivate the council to ensure that Bentonville remains a first-class city.”

I hope ths council looks at the sewer rates that were just approved by the previous council I am not sure the citizens realize the sewer bills here will go up 15 percent in March of 2013 and then another 10 percent in January 2014, Bentonville already has sewer rates too high, and every month brag about record revenues, its time to suck up the rate increase, people cannot afford these high sewer rates
