— Two men accused of breaking into the home of a 90-yearold Paragould man last month and shooting him to death were charged with capital murder Thursday, Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington said.

Rashon Webb, 18, of Jonesboro, and Lavell Branch-Griffin, 18, of Paragould, were arrested in the Nov. 10 death of Clinton Mason. Police said the two broke into the East Court Street home Mason shared with another person and shot Mason. He died later at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Webb and Branch-Griffin are also each charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated residential burglary and aggravated assault. Police said the two men broke into the home of a Paragould woman on 15th Street about six hours before Mason was shot.

The two are being held without bail in the Greene County jail in Paragould. They will be arraigned Monday.

Ellington said he has yet to decide if he will seek the death penalty. He said the case involves enough aggravated circumstances to qualify for the death penalty.
