100 YEARS AGO Dec. 28, 1912 Secretary of State Earle W. Hodges yesterday announced the jury of award to select a design for the official state flag of Arkansas, and the judges named will meet at the Hotel Marion January 2 to select the official state flag from the designs submitted. More than 30 designs already have been submitted at the request of the Pine Bluff chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the one selected by the judges will be submitted by Mr. Hodges to the General Assembly for approval.
