Arrests

Arkansas State Police

• Rogelio Armendarez, 23, of 1406 Christy Lane in Springdale was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony fleeing and misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving on a suspended/revoked license, no license plates and no proof of insurance. Armednarez was in the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday on a $3,500 bond.

Benton County

Sheriff’s Office

• Justin Eric Mitchell, 26, of 719 S. Old Wire Road in Lowell was arrested Wednesday in connection with forgery in the second degree. Mitchell was being held Wednesday at the Benton County Jail on $2,500 bond.

• Juan Chavez-Cano, 38, of 1607 W. Price Lane in Rogers was arrested Tuesday in connection with forgery in the second degree, no driver’s license and no seatbelt. Chavez-Cano was being held Wednesday at the Benton County Jail on $2,000 bond.

• John Christopher Blevins, 42, of Holcomb St. in Lowell was arrested Monday in connection with a felony parole violation. Blevins was being held Wednesday at the Benton County with no bond set.

Springdale

• Cody R. Underdown, 23, of 2942-B Adrian Ave. was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony violation of probation or a suspended sentence, misdemeanor second-degree assault, interference with emergency communications and first-degree criminal trespass. Police said Underdown broke into his former girlfriend’s residence. Underdown was in the Washington County Detention Center on Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bond.

Accidents

Bentonville

• A caller reported a wreck at the corner of South Walton Boulevard and 14th Street at 10:04 a.m. Tuesday. A red Ford Taurus and a blue Jeep Cherokee collided at the intersection, the caller reported. She said a dog was thrown out of one of the vehicles and ran toward a business.

Rogers

• A car crashed into an electric pole near the intersection of Easy Street and Dixieland Road late Tuesday. Carroll Electric personnel told first responders the pole did not need to be replaced and a dangling wire was an old phone wire, according to police logs.

Fire

Avoca

• Firefighters put out a fire Tuesday on the third floor of a home on Beaver Lake. Initially firefighters were told the entire third level of the home at 9993 Holiday Hills Drive was in flames, but only smoke was visible when they arrived, said Jeremy Metcalf, Avoca assistant fire chief. The fire began in an office area and spread to the loft and attic areas, Metcalf said. Firefighters from Avoca, Rogers, Northeast Benton County and Pea Ridge responded, and Little Flock tankers were called. The fire was likely electrical in origin, Metcalf said. A final determination of the fire’s cause and damage estimate have not been completed.

Springdale

• Firefighters responded to a 911 call at 1:19 a.m. Wednesday to find a manufactured home on fire at 4457 Wigwam Lane. The fire was under control by 1:37 a.m. The cause of the fire was a frayed cord on a space heater, according to Kevin McDonald, assistant fire chief. Mark Shackleford, the resident, was treated for smoke inhalation at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale and released. Damage by the flames was minimal, but smoke damage extended through out the trailer.

• Patricha Martin, 821 S. 28th St. told police a dog stolen on Monday was advertised on Craigslist on Tuesday.

• Kahle Tonya reported Monday the theft of $60 from a wallet at McDonald’s at 100 N. 46th St.

Springdale

• Frank Goldsmith reported Tuesday a burglary at 200-A Kim Ave. with a laptop missing.

• Vivia Martinez reported Tuesday a break-in at 21 Applegate Drive.

• Shannon Crain reported Wednesday the theft of a white 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer from 1912 Dee Ave.
