Rogers tornado siren accidentally sounds

An electrical problem caused a Rogers tornado siren to accidentally sound this morning, Keith Foster, a Rogers Police Department spokesman, said in a news release.
"As you can imagine, the phones in Rogers Central Dispatch are ringing non-stop," he said. The city is trying to identify and repair the problem.
The siren was behind Westside Elementary School. It activated then turned off on its own about five times, Foster said. It has been deactivated.
The National Weather Service is not predicting any severe weather for the area.
