100 YEARS AGO Dec. 25, 1912 Although Governor George W. Donaghey decided Monday night he did not care to become a moving picture hero, he yielded to the solicitation of Freeman Owens, representing the “Animated Weekly” company, yesterday morning and permitted Mr. Owens to picture him in the attitude of signing pardons. Mr. Owens also will make pictures of convict camps in the state, which will be thrown on the screen in all parts of the country.
