BASEBALL

• The War Eagle Baseball Training Camp will be held on Sundays through January to give baseball training to youngsters from kindgarten through eighth grade, which attend a school that feeds into Rogers Heritage. Others who attend private school, but live within the Heritage boundaries are also eligible to attend. The training will be held inside the Heritage Indoor athletic facility. • The annual Rogers High Mountaineer Baseball Holiday Camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday at the Rogers fieldhouse. Cost is $50, and the camp is open to baseball players ages 7 to 15. Forms can be found online at www.rogersschools.net or at Best Sports in Rogers. Walk-ups are welcome.

• The annual meeting of Bentonville Youth Baseball Inc. will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Arvest Conference Center, just north of the square in downtown Bentonville. Bentonville Youth Baseball Inc. is a nonprofit corporation chartered to provide for every child from age 4 to age 18 within the Bentonville School District the chance to learn and enjoy baseball. The meeting is open to the public.

BASKETBALL

• The Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville is accepting registration for its 2013 Open League with a registration deadline at 7 p.m. Thursday. Open League begins Jan. 15 and ends by March 16, offering a 10-game schedule along with a postseason tournament. Games are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. • Lowell First Baptist Church and Rogers First Church of the Nazarene will offer Upward Basketball/Cheerleading for area youth. The programs are open to boys and girls ages 5 through sixth grade. • Registration for the Rogers Community-School Recreation Associatio Lil' Hoopsters Instructional Class will be taken through Friday, and the class begins Jan. 5. The cost is $40. FENCING

• Northwest Arkansas Fencing Center, 1100 SE 14th St. Suite 16, Bentonville, will offer January Introductory Fencing Classes on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Jan. 7. • NWA Lacrosse is seeking coaches and players in grades three through high school for boys and girls teams. The season starts in March and ends in May. MISCELLANEOUS

SOCCER

• The Arkansas Comets are hosting Winter Soccer Schools at All-Star Sports Arena in Springdale in January and February. Classes meet once a week and are administered by Dave O’Brien and the Comets U17 Boys team. There are two classes. Regular soccer school is for ages 4 to 12.  There is also an Advanced Ball Skills class for advanced players, ages 10 and older. SOFTBALL

• NWA Hot Shots 12U Fastpitch Softball team is looking to fill out its spring roster. The Hot Shots plan to play 10-12 tournaments, including state and World Series. Contact coaches Chris Enos at 616-8588 or Marty Pollock 640-2077 for a tryout.

VOLLEYBALL

• Registration for Winter Coed Adult Volleyball at the Yvonne Richardson Center in Fayetteville are open through Jan. 10. The cost for each team is $250 for 7 games, plus a guaranteed spot in the post-season tournament.  Matches are played every Wednesday at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. Register online at www.onlinesignup.org/fayetteville, or at the Parks and Recreation office at 1455 Happy Hollow Road.
