Police Find Drugs During Traffic Stop

An Oklahoma man was arrested by Springdale police Saturday after being pulled over in connection with careless driving and possession of drugs.

Ronald Celis, 43, of 57300 Airport Road in Cleveland, Okla., was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed on Thompson Street before police stopped him, according to a preliminary report.

According to the report, police found 8.6 grams of methamphetamine during a search. Celis also was found with three syringes, a plastic pipe, multiple empty plastic bags, a small digital scale, lithium batteries, measuring cups and coffee filters, according to a preliminary report.

Celis admitted to possession of drugs and to using methamphetamine two days prior, the report stated.

Celis was jailed in connection with felony possession of methamphetamine or cocaine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor driving while intoxicated-drugs and careless driving.

He was being held Sunday in the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond.
