Police Investigate Pharmacy Robbery

— Police are seeking a woman who reportedly robbed a Walgreens store using a note.

Officers were dispatched to Walgreens, 2750 E. Mission Blvd., about 4 p.m. for a report of a robbery.

A news release issued by police said a woman passed a note to the pharmacist demanding prescription drugs and stating she had a weapon.

According to a 911 call, the note stated, “I don’t want to hurt you” and to “wait 15 minutes before they alerted anyone.”

She reportedly took Xanax and methadone.

The robber was described as a white woman, between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-5 with a medium to heavy build, according to the news release.

She had long, dark hair and was wearing a white bandana, sunglasses, a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the release. The woman may be driving an older model Nissan Maxima with a damaged front bumper, according to police.
