Group Seeks Donations, Help

— The organizer of the B&B Fund Drive needs volunteers and donations for the annual Christmas dinner and gift exchange.

Brenda Moore said the event, now in its 21st year, needs food for the meal and volunteers to serve and deliver the food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Christmas Day. The drive already has toys for 547 children who registered, thanks to help from Toys for Tots.

Moore said she expects to serve around 3,000 people at the Bentonville Church of Christ Activity Center on Christmas Day.

Moore said she needs large cans of traditional holiday fare such as green beans and yams, instant mashed potatoes, canned milk, butter, desserts and bread. She also asked for people to buy a turkey, cook it and bring it to the dinner.

“We’re in desperate need of assistance to help,” she said. “There’s no way we can do it by ourselves.”

Assistance is needed in the kitchen and on the roads to deliver meals to the elderly. People in need of a Christmas meal can still call Moore and schedule deliveries.
