Agents Reportedly Seize Meth

Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration arrested two Kansas men Wednesday after they said they seized 8 ounces of methamphetamine.

Alonso Ulises Zamora-Vargas, 24, of 4720 Oakland Ave. and Otoniel Alejandro Zamora-Luviano, 24, of 1012 Sandusky Ave., both of Kansas City, Kan., face a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

DEA agents with the Springdale Police Department learned 8 ounces of methamphetamine would be delivered from Kansas City, Kan., to 4461 Falcon Road in Springdale, according to an arrest report.

Agents saw a small white truck with a Kansas license plate arrive at the address on Falcon, according to the report. Officers approached the truck and spoke with the occupants, who had no identification other than Mexican consulate IDs. The men were identified as Zamora-Vargas and Zamora-Luviano.

Agents found a sock next to the two men that contained a cellophane-wrapped bundle of 292 grams of methamphetamine, according to the report.

Zamora-Luviano and Zamora-Vargas were arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where they were being held Thursday on $10,000 bond. Zamora-Luviano also faces charges from another department.
