HELENA-WEST HELENA — Authorities found charred human remains along a highway in Phillips County.
The remains were spotted early Tuesday along Arkansas 44. Authorities said they have not yet confirmed whether the remains are those of a man or a woman.
The Helena-West Helena Police Department, Phillips County sheriff’s office and Arkansas State Police are investigating.
Authorities said forensics investigators are working on the case.
