City Lakes Close For Season
Lake Fayetteville and Lake Sequoyah will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 14.
Annual fishing permits may be purchased when both lakes open on Jan. 15.
Tournament Rings In New Year
The annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear bass tournament will be from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
on Jan. 1 at Beaver Lake out of Prairie Creek park.
Entry fee is $70 per team and must be paid in cash.
The fee may be paid at Prairie Creek on tournament morning.
Three places will be paid up to 30 boats, with another place added for every 10 boats above that. The limit is six fish.
Tournament director is Chad Johnson.
Marina Hosts Tournament
Hickory Creek Marina will host a New Year’s Day bass tournament from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 1.
Entry fee is $30 per team.
Free chili will be served at the weigh-in.
