Department Honors Officer, Administrator

— Lt. Joe Falcon and administrator Sissy Rogers have been recognized by the Bentonville Police Department for their service.

Falcon was named the 2012 Officer of the Year, an honor selected by votes from all police department personnel. Falcon’s recognition is the first time a supervising officer has received the award, according to a news release.

Falcon began his law enforcement career with the Bentonville Police Department in 1994. He serves as evening shift commander of the Uniform Patrol Division and leads the department’s bike team. He has previously served as a patrolman, training officer and detective, according to the release.

Rogers was named the Civilian Employee of the Year for the second time. She is an administrative secretary for the department. She previously received the award in 2004 and is the first employee to be honored twice, according to the release.

Rogers has served the department since 1990 and is responsible for payroll and invoice processing for the department, according to the release.
