I'm waiting for the local boys at the Chamber of Welfare to get in front of this and claim it as their doing.

Cdawg - I’m waiting for uneducated and racist comments from a group of foolish malcontents in an anonymous forum with no accountability. Oh wait….

Seriously, some of you would complain if you were given $5 because it wasn’t $10. Also, the Springdale hate from a few of you is just so pathetic. Most people not from the area see every city here as pretty much identical. “Little Mexico” really? Outside of the racial overtones that comment shows ignorance. Roger’s Hispanic population is identical to Springdale’s. Crime rates? Fayetteville’s is much higher than Springdale’s and especially in violent crime (Guess the sprout nibblers get a little grouchy when they’re all drugged up).

Anyway, why let those annoying little facts get in the way? I’m proud of Springdale and all of NWA.

Have a great day and Happy Holidays!

According to Mr. Webster the word "Hispanic" is a citizen of Spain or Portugal. The natives of Spain and Portugal are Europians and just as pale as a German. Most of these brown skined people in Springdale are Mexicans with a few Latin Americans thrown in so the word for thes is "Latino's" And "Little Latin America" does't really fit Chickendale, it is officially now "Little Mexico."

Rogers is just a big vast wasteland of no importance between the U of A and Wal-Mart. If a giant tornado flushed Rogers off the map, history would call it a giant urban renewel project and Wal-Mart would gain a parking lot.

Money,

Those brown skinned folks you speak of, unless proven otherwise, are Americans.... not Mexicans. By the way, I ve been to Spain and Portugal. There are plenty of brown skinned folks there when you go far enough south or are in the more diverse cities anywhere in those countries. Do you know what an Andalusian is? Ever wonder why certain Spanish/Portuguese names start with the letters A and L?

TheMadPotato,

You can't call some peolpe "racist malcontent"; especially when they have license on the whole "race card." Isn't that convienient.

If they are Americans, why did you call them "Hispanics?" MadPotato
