Arkansas Visit To Prairie Grove Great

I, my dad and two cousins traveled to Arkansas from Washington, Oregon and California to view the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Prairie Grove reenactment (Dec. 1-2).

It was a great experience to see where our ancestors (11th Kansas Infantry) fought and bled.

The re-enactors gave me a sense of what it must have been like if one could add desperate fear to a struggle such as this was.

We did the driving tours of Prairie Grove and Cane Hill battles inaddition to spending all day Saturday at the event.

The rural landscape of Northwest Arkansas was very interesting to see and drive through. I was very impressed with the folks, hospitality, prices and infrastructure of the area.

Thanks for a great visit.
