THANK YOU! Nate,
I have been saying the same for years.
It all started with programmed music by the band in which the William Tell Overture didn't appear until there was only 4:55 left in the game.
Now, after "and NOW these are YOUR ARKANSAS RAAAAAZORBAAAAACKS! The crowd is in a frenzy, ready to cheer the introduction of players, but is throttled by a video in a dark room that shuts us up.
And then there is the weather report that has absolute NO relevance to the flow of the game and ALWAYS comes, when the spirit groups should be helping the team create that fabled RUN that intimidates opponents. Who CARES if it's 45 degrees outside!?!
Throw away the scripts and go with some spontaneity
