Lee leads Clarksville past Bentonville

— Dederick Lee scored a team-high 21 points, including a 5-of-9 effort from threepoint range, in leading the Clarksville Panthers over the Bentonville Tigers 78-52 on Friday night.

Despite a game-high 25 points and nine rebounds from Nick Smith, Bentonville (6-1) suffered its first loss of the season.

Freddy Lee added 18 points and six assists for Clarksville (7-2). He helped spark a 13-5 start to the second quarter by hitting twothree-pointers. The Panthers led 46-25 at halftime.

Bentonville made a charge in the third quarter, but Clarksville responded with fast-break points or three-pointers to quell the rally.

“Bentonville is a good team,” Dederick Lee said. “Doesn’t matter that they are 7A, they are simply a good team. Our speed up and down the court was the key tonight. We pushed it as often as possible.”
