Lady War Eagles Down Sheridan

Rogers Heritage girls basketball team had struggled lately, but used a good second quarter to take control against Sheridan en route to a 44-30 road victory on Friday night.

“We looked more like ourselves tonight,” Heritage coach Kevin Ramey said. “Lacey Murray and Gina Britton had great energy and Ashley (Ward) was tough as nails inside.”

The Lady War Eagles (6-3) led only 6-3 after a quarter, but went on a 12-0 run to take command and led 21-7 at halftime. Sheridan never got the deficit under 10 points in the second half.

Ashley Ward and Lacey Murray led a balanced Heritage scoring attack with 10 points each. Britton added eight.
