DON’T FORGET THE WARRIORS America, where is your heart?

I don’t care if Ms. Lohan has been arrested again. I cannot muster interest in what weight-loss diet is popular. I sure don’t give a tinker’s dam if a woman named Longoria is “going political.” Unfortunately, the so-called “liberal media” devote hours of broadcast time reporting on these hot news topics.

Meanwhile, our people are dying in a war. In two wars actually, one in Iraq, where we still have troopies; the other in Afghanistan, where we are taking casualties almost daily. ...

You don’t have to like the war to honor our troopies.

If you don’t like the war, at least pay attention to it. ... The Afghan War has been fought for more than 11 years. It could go longer if it remains forgotten. It is a strategic part of the War Against Terrorism, which is a war with no end, like the War on Drugs that has gone on for far longer with no positive results, just more drugs, moreincarcerations and many more deaths.

I appreciate that the (newspaper) publishes a list of those killed in action on the editorial page. It should be on the front page. Do you read it? ... Many are teenagers. Dead.

Dead! Already a dirty fourletter word before they can legally buy a beer! Most are older, many of them parents of young children.

Dead. Their children orphaned for a cause we have forgotten because we have chosen to ignore it.

America, where is your heart?
