Man impersonated officer, police say

Police arrested a Rogers man Wednesday after finding a police officer badge and police lights and a siren in his car, according to a news release.

The investigation began when employees at a Kum & Go at 1701 W. New Hope Road reported that they suspected a man claiming to be a police officer was lying, according to the news release. Employees at another store at 2400 W. Hudson Road also said the man had identified himself as an officer and showed them a badge.

Travis Lee Blake France, 24, was arrested in connection with criminal impersonation, a felony, and possession of lights and sirens by a prohibited person, a misdemeanor, according to the news release. He was being held Thursday morning in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
