DFA Closes Four Fayetteville Businesses

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration closed four Fayetteville businesses Friday over sales tax delinquency.

The four closed restaurants are: The Fez Hookah Lounge and Cafe, 207 N. Thompson Ave.; Tangiers Mediterranean Grill, 2800 N. College Ave.; Pitas Mediterranean Grill, 540 W. Dickson St.; and Wingz on Dickson, 644 W. Dickson St.

Fayetteville city business licenses show all business are owned by Mohammed and Stephanie Khaldi. Roberta Overman, manager of the state’s sales and use tax section, said closure notices were served Nov. 29 and they were shut down Dec. 7.

Correction: A previous version of this story misstated the day the restaurants were closed. The error has been corrected.
