Children Can Jump For Hunger

— Children can bounce for joy if they bring a toy or canned goods to the Bounce For Hunger and Toy Drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rogers Activity Center, 315 W. Olive St.

The event is sponsored by the Biggest Loser training program for weight loss.

To gain access to the inflatables, children must bring nonperishable food items or a new, unopened toy, officials said.

The food and toys will go the Samaritan Center in Rogers and Springdale, a nonprofit organization that operates a soup kitchen, food pantry and other services to those in need. The center expects to serve 100,000 people this year, officials said.
