LITTLE ROCK — Jane Wayland
Where I live: 300 Third Tower with my husband, Bob.
We moved from a more-than 3,000-square-foot, four-bedroom home in west Little Rock and downsized to an 1,800-square-foot, two-bedroom condo downtown. We like living downtown and enjoy walking to our church, Christ Episcopal; restaurants;
The Rep; and Robinson Music Center. And we can participate in downtown events without the problem of parking.
Occupation: I am the Stephen Harrow Smith Dean of Business at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
My favorite space: The main living space.
Why: This large room is the kitchen, living and dining area. Because the windows are from floor to ceiling, we have beautiful views of the Arkansas River, downtown and the Capitol. I love the sunny days and the lights at night.
The kitchen was a separate space at our previous home, but here I can prepare dinner and not feel isolated. We are looking forward to entertaining our friends and family after we finally settle in.
If I could change one thing to improve this space, I would: Decorate and finish unloading the boxes. We moved in at the end of October, and it is still a work in progress.
