Beaver Lake: Striped bass are biting on the south end of Beaver Lake, reports Garland Villines at Hickory Creek Marina.

Stripers up to 35 pounds have been caught this week with shad or brood minnows, he said. Good fishing is reported from Hickory Creek park upstream into the mouths of the White and War Eagle river arms.

Crappie are biting jigs or minnows 10 feet deep around brush. Villines caught eight crappie on Monday using a black tube jig with a chartreuse tail.

For black bass, try spinner baits or crank baits.

John Hodge at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said black bass are biting spinner baits, crawdad-colored crank baits or Alabama rigs worked shallow on cloudy days.

On sunny days, try a finesse worm on a drop-shot rig or a jig and pig 20 to 30 feet deep.

Try the White or War Eagle river arms for crappie with minnows or jigs 10 to 12 feet deep. Best jig color is a red orblack body with a chartreuse tail.

Striped bass are biting Rat-LTraps at night. The best fishing is over flats.

Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said crappie fishing remains good. Crappie are suspended 10 to 25 feet deep over water 25 to 45 feet deep. Fish around timber that is close to a creek channel.

Curly-tail grubs in white/ chartreuse or pink/chartreuse are a good choice. Good areas to fish include Monte Ne, Blackburn Creek, Prairie Creek, Ventris or Coose Hollow.

White River below Beaver Dam: Lisa Mullins at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting orange Power Bait tipped with a red worm or waxworm.

Nightcrawlers injected with air are also working.

Productive lures include gold/silver Colorado spoons, pink Husky Jerks or size 9 floating Rapalas in a rainbowtrout pattern.

Top flies include red/olive size 18 midges, size 18 olive/ orange scuds, size 10 black woolly buggers and SanJuan worms.

Lake Fayetteville: Dollie Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock reports little fishing activity.

Lake Sequoyah: Mike McBride at Lake Sequoyah bait shop said crappie fishing is good with jigs or minnows 4 to 9 feet deep along flats or near brush.

Try liver for catfish. Black bass fishing is good with plastic worms or crank baits.

Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing Retreat said black bass are biting Zoom finesse worms in the red bug color. Rig them wacky style.

Key and Jason Cossey caught several bass on Tuesday with finesse worms.

Swepco Lake: Kenny Stroud at BW Outdoors in Siloam Springs said largemouth bass are biting plastic worms 1 to25 feet deep. Try top-water lures at sunrise and sunset.

Illinois River: Stroud said black bass are biting tube baits in green-pumpkin color. Try a 4-inch plastic worm or a brown/orange marabou jig.

Bella Vista: Justin McClelland at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass fishing is good with crank baits or jigs 1 to 10 feet deep.

Bluegill are biting crickets or worms 8 to 12 feet deep at all lakes.

Trout fishing is excellent at Lake Brittany with Power Bait.

Upper Table Rock Lake: J.D. Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said crappie are biting jigs or minnows 10 to 12 feet deep in the Kings River arm.

For black bass, try spinner baits or jig and pigs along points 1 to 10 feet deep.
