— A man who billed himself as Sondance the Clown to perform for children’s events has been scheduled for trial in Sebastian County Circuit Court the week of Feb. 19 on four counts of possession of material depicting sexually explicit conduct with a child.

Thomas Harold Morgan of Fort Smith was arrested in June after police detected the downloading of illegal child exploitation files from an Internet file-sharing network onto a computer Morgan was using, according to a Fort Smith police report.

Police traced the computer to Morgan, executed a search warrant and found the material on his computer, the report stated.

Morgan was freed from the Sebastian County jail in August on $50,000 bond pending his trial after he signed a conditions form barring him from having contact with anyone under 18. He also was ordered to have no access to the Internet and no access to devices that could access the Internet.
