100 YEARS AGO Dec. 5, 1912 IMBODEN — One hundred men, women and children walked out of the button factory at Black Rock yesterday afternoon when the foreman forbade them to buy hot tamales from a little orphan boy who made his living by selling them on the streets. The trouble first arose last week when the little boy peddled his stock of hot tamales in the factory. The foreman ordered him out of the factory and forbade his returning.
