Governor’s appointments

Gov. Mike Beebe announced 24 appointments on Monday to prosecuting attorney positions or to state boards or commissions.

Stephen Shirron, Malvern, was appointed as Prosecuting Attorney for Judicial District 7, and Ian Vickery, of El Dorado, was appointed Prosecuting Attorney for Judicial District 13, both beginning Jan. 1 and expiring Dec. 31, 2014. Shirron replaces Eddy Easley, and Vickery replaces Robin Carroll.

Kimberly W. Arnold, Conway, and Steven Domon, Little Rock, were reappointed to the Children’s Behavioral Health Care Commission, assignments that will expire Aug. 15, 2015.

Jonathan Dunkley, North Little Rock, was appointed to the Children’s Behavioral Health Care Commission. Dunkley replaces Marvin Alexander, and the term expires Aug. 15, 2015.

James “Wiley” Blansett, Searcy, was appointed to the Arkansas Department ofAeronautics Commission, a term that expires Nov. 9, 2017. Blansett replaces Joe Jett.

Bill Morgan, Paragould, and David Glover, Hampton, were reappointed to the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics Commission for terms expiring Nov. 9, 2017.

Donna Casparian, Hot Springs, was appointed to the Board of Visitors for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts. Casparian replaces Mary Jane Rebick for a term that expires Nov. 9, 2017.

Dexter Doyne, College Station, was reappointed to the Arkansas Building Authority Council, a term that will expire July 22, 2015.

J.R. Gurnsey, Hampton, was assigned to the Ouachita River Commission. Gurnsey replaces Darrell Donaldson, and the appointment expires Sept. 1, 2019.

Tim Hill, Springdale, was assigned to the Arkansas Local Police and Fire Retirement System Board of Trustees. Hill replaces Donna Adkins, and the termexpires Jan. 1, 2016.

Bobby Davis, Batesville, and Chris Jones, Imboden, were reappointed to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board. Both terms expire Oct. 14, 2015.

Deborah Kirby, Little Rock, was assigned to the State Library Board. Kirby replaces David Malone, and the appointment expires Oct. 18, 2019.

Buddy Ledford, Fayetteville, was reappointed to the Arkansas Fire and Police Pension Review Board, an assignment that expires Jan. 1, 2016.

Weston Lewey, Forrest City, was assigned to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. Lewey replaces Ron Killingsworth, and the term expires June 8, 2016.

John Martin, Brinkley, was reappointed to the Delta Cultural Center Policy Advisory Board, an assignment that expires Oct. 1, 2015.

David Maxwell, Arkadelphia, was appointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, JudicialDistrict 9 East. Maxwell replaces Randall Mathis, and the appointment expires Jan. 14, 2016.

Walter Nixon III, Jacksonville, was appointed to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority. The appointment begins Jan. 1, and expires Jan. 14, 2015.

Matthew Pelkki, Monticello, was appointed to the State Board of Registration of Foresters. Pelkki replaces Robert Weih, and the term expires July 18, 2015.

Gary Pugh, of Pocahontas, was reappointed to the Arkansas Scenic Resources Preservation Coordinating Committee, an assignment that expires Oct. 1, 2016.

Margie Saul, DeValls Bluff, was appointed to the Arkansas Agriculture Board. Saul replaces Don Burrows, and the term expires Aug. 15, 2016.

Jim Tolewitzke, Brookland, was reappointed to the Arkansas Fire Protection Services Board, an assignment that expires Oct. 14, 2015.
