College Head Receives Honor

Paneitz Recognized For Service

— Becky Paneitz, president of NorthWest Arkansas Community College, was recognized for her service at a special ALPFA luncheon Nov. 15.

Paneitz was honored for her service and commitment to diversity and to ALPFA and the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the organization. ALPFA is the largest Latino association for business professionals and students with chapters nationwide and more than 20,000 members. The organization is dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos and building leadership and career skills, according to a news release.

Paneitz has been active in the national organization, serving on Women of ALPFA Corporate Advisory Board, and in the Northwest Arkansas chapter of ALPFA, the release stated. 

The luncheon preceded a special Women of ALPFA workshop titled “Building Female Leaders — Strong from the Inside Out,” which was aimed at generating creative and innovative avenues for women to build the capacity for positive impact and shape the future of women leaders in Northwest Arkansas, the release stated.

In conjunction with the special recognition, chapter leaders announced plans to join the President’s Circle of NorthWest Arkansas Community College with a $1,000 commitment. President’s Circle Fund gifts are placed in a designated account to be used toward college initiatives related to students, faculty and staff, the release stated.
