— Mike Anderson Jr., the son of Arkansas basketball Coach Mike Anderson and the Razorbacks’ video coordinator, has been suspended indefinitely from his duties after being arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Sunday morning in Fayetteville.

“As a coach and a father I am disappointed with the events that occurred,” Anderson said Monday in announcing his son’s suspension. “Our staff serves as positive role models to our student-athletes.”

Anderson said his son’s suspension was a decision made after consulting with Arkansas’ administrative staff.

“Our family will continue to support him throughout this challenge,”Anderson said.

Anderson Jr., 27, has been arrested on DWI charges three times. He was arrested in Fayetteville in January of 2012 and in Columbia, Mo., in 2007 when he played for his father at Missouri.

Anderson said he has a veteran staff who will be able to “make sure everything goes smooth” in the video department during his son’s suspension.
