Springdale High ended its short stay in Missouri with a convincing win.
DeShaun Stark scored 26 points and Alex Scharlau added 25 on Saturday as the Bulldogs earned a 78-60 win over Memphis (Tenn.) Mitchell in its final game at the Kickapoo Tournament in Springfield, Mo.
Tereke Eckwood finished with 12 points for Springdale (2-2), which built a double-digit lead in the second half against Mitchell. The win allowed the Bulldogs to leave Kickapoo on a high note after going 1-2 in the tournament.
“The second half we got a lot of stuff in transition,” Springdale boys basketball coach Brad Stamps said. “I was pretty pleased.”
The Bulldogs return to action Thursday when they take part in a three-day tournament at Bixby, Okla.
