New president takes oath as protesters rage

Mexican riot police detain a protester Saturday outside the National Congress in Mexico City, where new President Enrique Pena Nieto was taking the oath of office.
Enrique Pena Nieto took the oath of office as Mexico’s new president Saturday promising to return peace and security and to take on the vested interests and sacred cows that have kept a lid on the country’s economic prosperity.
