Springdale Har-Ber Routs Willard, Mo.

Springdale Har-Ber grabbed a 7-0 lead and eased to a 73-42 victory over host Willard, Mo., Friday in the second round of the Quad-City Classic.

Caylee Wright led Har-Ber (2-2) with 14 points, four assists and four steals. Haley McCarver added 12 points, followed by Bailey Schalk with 11 points and Tayleah Neal and Ashley Gray with eight points apiece.

“We came out on fire and never looked back,” Har-Ber girls basketball coach Sandy Wright said. “We distributed the ball really well and had balanced scoring.”

Har-Ber will play a third-round game against Fort Scott, Kan., at 1 p.m. today.

Har-Ber began the tournament Thursday by losing 51-43 to Broken Arrow, Okla. Wright scored 20 points to lead the Lady Wildcats. Schalk added 12 points, while Neal finished with seven points and eight rebounds.

The Har-Ber boys played a late game on Friday after losing their first-round game.
