Second Pesticide Licensing Class Scheduled

Saturday, December 1, 2012

— A pesticide licensing class will be held Thursday in Bentonville.

A pesticide applicators license is required in Arkansas for any agriculture producer who wants to purchase and apply restricted-use pesticides, according to a news release.

The class is offered to any agriculture producer regardless of acreage, crop or livestock produced. Because of space, an RSVP by Monday is required. Seating will be on a first-contact basis, so interested producers can RSVP by calling 479-271-1060 or email [email protected]. The next training class will be held in 2013, according to the release.

The class will be held at the Benton County Public Services Building on Southwest 14th Street, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the State Plant Board five-year pesticide license fee of $45, there will be a $10 class fee per person attending. More details about the class will be provided producers upon receipt of their RSVP, according to the release.
