FAYETTEVILLE — Police arrested a man Thursday after seizing 20 pounds of marijuana from his Willow Avenue home.
Joseph Brodacz, 72, of 514 S. Willow Ave., was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Police received an anonymous tip Thursday that Brodacz had marijuana at his home, according to an arrest report.
Officers said while speaking to Brodacz outside his home they smelled marijuana.
Brodacz admitted to having a small amount of marijuana inside his house, according to the report.
Investigators searched the property and found 20 pounds of marijuana in 97 plastic bags and $1,936, according to the report.
Police said Brodacz grew 30 marijuana plants in his backyard and harvested them in October.
He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center and released on his own recognizance Thursday.
