FAYETTEVILLE — Police are investigating a report of a robbery Saturday morning near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Dickson Street.
According to a 911 dispatch report, a woman told police she was robbed by two men about 2 a.m. as she was walking home. The woman said she was adjacent to the parking garage of the Washington County Courthouse when the two men approached her.
The woman said one of the men punched her the face and stole her purse, according to the report. The men reportedly ran west from Washington Avenue toward Dickson Street. Police hadn’t arrested anyone in connection with the robbery as of Saturday afternoon.
