Where I live: I live in a home in Little Rock’s Normandy neighborhood with my husband, Kent, our sons, Jonathan Thompson and Oliver Holt, and sometimes our college-age daughters, Jennifer Thompson and Olivia Holt.
Occupation: In January, Dauphne Trenholm and I co-founded First Class Communication, a public relations/communication firm focusing on education.
Favorite space: Our dining room.
Why? I know that what makes a house a home is the time spent there with family and friends. The dining room in this house, which was built in 1945, was originally the living room until a 1962 addition.
In the living room, we replaced two small windows in the living room with two large ones, so light now streams into the area.
If I could do one thing to improve this space, I would: Use the material I bought way back before we moved in to have drapes made for the living room windows - not to cover them up, but to frame them.
