FAYETTEVILLE A man accused of shooting and killing a local woman pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
Eric Frankenhauser's trial is scheduled for Oct. 24. He is being held without bond.
Frankenhauser, 41, faces charges of capital murder and first-degree battery charges. Authorities say Frankenhauser shot his girlfriend Jessica Stewart the morning of Aug. 5 in the front lawn of a house on Wedington Drive before fleeing in her white Hyundai Elantra.
A deputy in Franklin County, Ohio, arrested Frankenhauser on Aug. 7 as he walked along a road west of Columbus.
