Garfield man injured in motorcycle wreck

A Garfield man was transferred to a Springfield, Mo., hospital Thursday following an accident near the intersection of Dixieland Road and Olive Street.

Rogers police said Anthony Sinclair, 27, of Garfield was riding a 1986 Honda motorcycle south on Dixieland Road. Robert Maib, 61, of Rogers was driving a 2004 Toyota Prius north on Dixieland Road and turned onto Olive Street into Sinclair’s path. Sinclair’s motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of Maib’s vehicle.

Sinclair was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered severe head trauma, police said. He was not wearing a helmet.

Sinclair was transported to Mercy Medical, but was later air lifted to a St. John’s Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., where police said he was in stable condition Friday. Maib was cited for failure to yield.
